Advanced Life Support course for individuals

a+a training is now offering a 2 day Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses for individual candidates, following a successful course in north London on 21 and 22 January 2010.

Our next course will be held in north London on 7 and 8 July 2010 and taught by Resuscitation Council (UK) instructors with an instructor to candidate ratio of 1 to 3. Course content will meet the high standards set by the Resuscitation Council (UK) and include:

  • Management of shockable and non-shockable rhythms
  • Ventricular fibrillation and pulseless ventricular tachycardia
  • Asystole and pulseless electrical activity (non-VF/VT rhythms)
  • ABCDE approach
  • Resuscitation Council (UK) algorithms
  • Safe defibrillation
  • Cardiac arrest drugs and their delivery
  • Practice scenarios with ALS manikins
  • Airway anagement
  • Skills stations
  • Multiple choice question paper and Cardiac Arrest Management scenario test at the end
